The State of South Carolina requires fire extinguishers, emergency/exit lighting and other safety appliances to be clearly accessible, inspected, and maintained for all businesses, public and government buildings in the state.  FEW has trained, bonded and licensed technicians certified by the Fire Marshal of SC to help ensure your business is in compliance with fire safety regulations.  

For your convenience, you can call our office to schedule and appointment.  Our hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday.
 

When you first get your fire extinguisher it must be inspected and tagged by a company certified and licensed by the South Carolina Fire Marshal.  If you choose to buy your fire extinguishers from FEW, or if you buy one at a big box store, your extinguisher will not be in compliance until it is inspected and tagged.

Then, Annually your fire extinguishers need to be inspected and tagged by FEW.

Every six years from date of manufacture, you need to have your extinguishers discharged, recharged and inspected.

Every twelve years from date of manufacture, a fire extinguisher need to be disharged, low-pressure, hydrostatically tested, recharged and inspected.
